Day 38: Unity in Purpose

They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. So all the skilled workers who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left what they were doing and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.” Exodus 36:3-5

There is power in unity of purpose. The Bible says that when two or more are gathered, that Jesus is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). How much more-so when an entire people gather around a single purpose? There is so much power in agreement. In this scripture, the children of Israel joined together with the purpose of building the house of God. To accomplish this required all kinds of offerings. But what seemed like an impossible task became possible when the people joined together with one purpose. When everyone rallied together around the same cause and brought their offerings, they had more than enough.

Dear Jesus, thank you that when we come together in agreement, that you are there in the midst of us. Thank you that there is power in our unity of purpose together as a church body. We ask that you remove any division from us and bring us together with unity of heart, mind, and purpose as a church as we pray into this Beyond season. We believe that when we are unified, we will have more than enough to fulfill your purpose.  In your name we pray.
