Day 33: Give to Good Soil

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green. Psalm 92:12-14

Where you give matters. From the scripture above, we see that giving to the house of the Lord is giving to good soil. That is where the righteous flourish. When you give to a ministry, or more specifically a church, you are giving to the house of the Lord. The church is the place that the righteous flourish like a palm tree and grow like a cedar of Lebanon. Even more encouraging, the righteous planted in the house of the Lord will continue to bear fruit in old age. Many people are concerned about aging, but from this scripture, we see God’s promise that we will still be able to bear fruit and stay fresh and green. Therefore, we should prioritize giving to the house of the Lord because that is the right soil where the righteous flourish and bear fruit in old age.

Prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that you would lead me to the ministry or church that I should support. I thank you that when I give to the ministry or church that you lead me to, I am giving to good soil. I pray that due to my giving to the house of the Lord, I am helping the righteous to flourish like a palm tree and bear fruit in old age. Amen.
