Day 3: God Cares for you
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet Psalm 8:3-6
This scripture is both overwhelming and comforting. The grandness of who God is, is on full display. It is not some small task to have His hands set the moon and stars in their place. Have you ever looked at the night sky in a more remote location, where the amount of stars are uncountable. The vastness of his creation is awe inspiring. This same God who created all of this, is also intimately involved in your life. He cares for you more than you could ever imagine. His thoughts are on you, He has plans for you, His love for you is endless. We can often feel like an insignificant part of this grand universe, but it is the exact opposite to God. You are his most valued child. So as you face this day, this week, this month, take some time to remind yourself about how much the God who created the Universe, cares deeply for you.
Lord, creator of the universe, I know that you have made all things. Your hands have created all that I see, and those same hands uniquely created me. I thank you that I am not just 1 in a billion people that are seeking your attention, but that I am 1 of 1 that you created and care for. Help me to see myself the way you see me, and to never forget how much you love and care for me.
