Day 2: Trusting in the Lord
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2
Belief and trust go hand in hand. It is nearly impossible to trust someone, if you do not believe them. Yesterday we opened up our journey talking about placing our Faith in the Lord, because we believe He is who He says He is. When we are willing to take a step of Faith, we see Jesus respond. He promises to be our peace in the midst of whatever situation we are going through. For God to bring us peace and to be a refuge and a fortress, we first have to believe that He is greater than what we face. We can run to Him and in the midst of the fiercest storm, we can trust that he will protect us. Like a house that is built to stand against a storm, though it rages, we can sleep in peace knowing the storm will not destroy.
Thank you Lord, that I can trust in you. You have never failed me, and you won’t start now. Help me to continue to trust you no matter what is in front of me. I am thankful that I have you to run to, no matter what I have done. No matter what I am facing. I trust you today.
